Until every woman is safe, Women Defending Ourselves will teach self defense classes that empower women and girls to realize and act on their strengths.

Description

Women Defending Ourselves is a non-hierarchical, consensus-based nonprofit that has been teaching self-defense classes since 1985. We believe in building on women's experiences and knowledge in self defense. Our affordable, comprehensive classes inspire confidence through assertiveness techniques, physical strategies, and discussion of ending violence and oppression. Our volunteers come from all over the San Francsico Bay Area.
