The SaFT program focuses on "Blended Learning"," which is the marriage of digital content, tools, and online resources with traditional teaching methods to support student learning.

The SaFT program also encourages "Self-Directed Personalized Learning," which focuses on improving self-confidence, achievement motivation, goal setting, information processing, decision making, problem solving, self-evaluation, critical thinking, creativity, tailored individual instructions and other cognitive skills.
