Mission Statement

Faith Hospital, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to serve and advocate for the Haitian community by ensuring access to health care services regardless of income, insurance status, or language. As an important part of this mission, we provide services our services in the Haitian native language of Creole.

The mobile medical clinic program, implemented by a well-trained staff, provides many opportunities for the prevention of serious healthcare problems through necessary intervention by providing preventative healthcare. Established in January 2008, Faith Hospital is a result of the Executive Director’s passion for uplifting his home community through developmental medical programs. Our organization strives to create a positive and rewarding experience for the Haitians in Port-au-Prince, Haiti which will enable them to achieve medical care which actively reflects their needs. Individual empowerment and self-determination are strong components of Faith Hospital, Inc. The organization was conceived and organized to address the medical, cultural, and healthcare educational needs of the Haitian Community, to counteract failure, and to improve the quality and longevity of life for this underserved population

Description

Recognizing the needs that exist in the Port-au-Prince, Haiti Area, Faith Hospital’s staff currently provides a mobile healthcare clinic which provides a myriad of health related services, such as cancer screening, TB screening, diabetes screening, adult immunizations, HIV Testing & Medical Care, general medicine, etc. Due to the healthcare needs of the Haitian people, Faith Hospital will be establishing a traditional permanent healthcare hospital in the Port-au-Prince area. This hospital will be a 200 bed hospital which will offer emergency services, traditional medical care, OBGYN services as well as surgery if needed. Since the population of Haiti is vastly underserved through healthcare, Faith Hospital will offer its services at a highly reduced cost which would be no more than $10. This fee would account for the hospital visit, any medications prescribed, and any laboratory testing. If an individual is unable to pay Faith Hospital would still offer its services to these individuals. The organization’s goals are accomplished by the implementation of stimulating healthcare services and dissemination of healthcare educational materials. Ongoing evaluation assures progress and cost-effectiveness.
