Mission Statement

Travelers Aid Society of Los Angeles (TASLA) is a nonprofit, private social service agency whose mission is to provide assistance and support through counseling, education and other services to individuals and families in crisis due to mobility, homelessness or other disruptive circumstances.

Description

Travelers Aid Society of Los Angeles (TASLA) was founded in 1922 and incorporated in 1944. TASLA serves youth, adults, and families who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness, including the traveling public; people who are mentally ill; victims of crime; runaways; abandoned; frail and elderly; victims of domestic violence; repatriated citizens; families undergoing a health or financial crisis while in transit.

Emergency services include food, clothing, shelter; crisis management; transportation assistance; counseling and education; information, resoruces, and referrals; family reunification; case management; travel meet services; mental health referral and outreach services; child abuse prevention and intervention.

Service locations include: 205 World Way (LAX Int'l Airport); 340 N. Madison Ave (People Assisting the Homeless--Regional Homeless Center; and 1507 Winona Blvd (Hollywood Crisis Center).
