Mission Statement

Our Mission is to affect positive change in local Peruvian communities through sustainable programs, while fostering a deeper cultural understanding through our volunteer programs.

Our Values are:

  • Service: We hope that by sharing our talents and love for what we do, we can affect positive change for the better of a community.
  • Shared Humanity: We recognize that we are part of a bigger family through our shared humanity.
  • Respect: We respect people's backgrounds and histories and do not wish to change their values. Our role is to help support their communities.

Description

Our non-profit organization focuses on projects for the betterment of rural Andean communities. In the communities of the high Andes, nearly 65% of the population live below the poverty level and nearly 33% are considered extremely poor. We work to get food, clothes, medicine, vitamins, blankets, and hygiene products to families in the Peruvian Andes. This is our ongoing initiative throughout the year.

We are also helping to empower the communities to invest in themselves through education, health care outreach, and building and irrigation projects.

Inti in Quechua, the native language of the Andes, means "sun." Our hope is to spread a little sunshine to those in need.
