Housed on the grounds of the College, the QCC Art Gallery/CUNY reaches out to contribute to the educational and cultural vitality of the College and surrounding community. The Gallery's mission is to collect and preserve; present and interpret; educate and motivate; and stimulate new art production.

Description

The QCC Art Gallery of the City University of New York is a vital educational and cultural resource for the Queensborough Community College, the Borough of Queens and the surrounding communities. The Gallery is housed in the historic 1920's Oakland Building, formerly the Club House for the Oakland Country Club. The Art Gallery houses an outstanding permanent collection of African Art and holds several major exhibitions of African, Asian and Pre-Columbian art annually together as well as world-class exhibitions of contemporary art.
