Mission Statement

The mission of the Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania's Compeer Philadelphia program is to promote maximum recovery by consumers of mental health services by matching them in friendship relationships with caring, trained volunteers in a culturally competent manner.

Description

Compeer Philadelphia supports adult consumers in mental health recovery by matching them in same gender one-to-one friendships. Volunteers provide peer support, friendship, companionship and advocacy to help consumers reconnect with the community at large.
