The Alabama Quality Assurance Foundation (AQAF) shares and supports the goal of Alabama's health care providers and practitioners to improve the quality of care for people with Medicare.

Description

The Health Care Quality Improvement Program (HCQIP) is a national effort by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) to achieve measurable improvement in the processes of care involving some of the most prevalent disease/conditions in the Medicare population. Under contract with CMS, AQAF is funded to conduct a statewide program in Alabama to achieve specific goals through the use of quality improvement projects and other activities with Medicare providers, practitioners, managed care plans and people with Medicare.
