Mission Statement
The mission of La Cima Elementary Charter School is to prepare our students for academic and life-long success through a rigorous and relevant academic program.
Description
I am the Guidance Counselor at La Cima Elementary Charter School and extremely excited to announce the partnership between our school and the Big Brother's Big Sister's Community Based Organization (BBBS) servicing the Brooklyn area. There is a significant shortage of mentors in Brooklyn neighborhoods and we are actively recruiting volunteers who are interested in being a "Big Brother" or "Big Sister" to our scholar's age ranging from 6-10. Being a "Big" to a scholar growing up in a high crime population can result in endless possibilities. The mission of La Cima
Elementary Charter School is to prepare students for academic and life-long
success through a rigorous and relevant academic program. You can help us
achieve our mission by becoming a mentor, impacting and potentially changing a
life. Please let me know if you are able to post this announcement and volunteer opportunity to your students whom may be interested in becoming a mentor. Feel free to contact me at (908)377-4231 or (718)443-2136 at any point if you need additional information. Below are the requirements and attached is the formal announcment/application which can be emailed or faxed.
