Mission Statement

A Special Wish is dedicated to granting the wishes of children/adolescents in the Chicagoland area from birth through age 20 with life threatening disorders.

We have no paid staff -- everyone is a volunteer. We have no brick and mortar office. Everyone does their work out of their home or office. We meet monthly in a Chicago restaurant to dole out the responsibilities for the upcomings months. Attendance at these meetings is not required but encouraged!

Description

We serve children/adolescents, from birth through age 20, diagnosed with a life threatening disorder. We serve the Chicagoland area including Cook and the collar counties.

We have no paid staff -- everyone is a volunteer. We have no brick and mortar office. Everyone does their work out of their home or office. What a phenomenal organization! I joined in February 2009 and have been to nearly every monthly meeting since. These volunteers dedicate their time and energy to grant the wishes of these heroic kids and teens. I am sincerely proud to be apart of such a generous, loving group. We have many goals for the upcoming year, so please, join us!
