Mission Statement

NAMI Ohio is the Ohio Organization of the National Alliance For Mental Illness. This initiative is NAMI Ohio and Resilience Advocacy & Associates, Inc. DBA Vet 2 Vet Ohio joining together in a contracty to raise money to trai Veterans in Ohio and VISN 10, Veterans Integrated Service Network 10 (the VA dividedes the USA into 23 VISNs, VISN 10 is almost all of Ohio and a small part of Kentucky.

Vet 2 Vet is a Veteran's Peer Led Recovery Initiaive based on Veteran Led Educational Support Groups.

The Mission of the Vet 2 Vet Ohio (VISN 10 Innitiative) is to establish Vet 2 Vet Peer Led Support Groups at all VA Hospitals and VA Community Outpatient Clinics CBOCs in Ohio (VISN 10).

Description

Vet 2 Vet is a Veteran created Peer Led Recovery Innitiative. Vet 2 Vet's primary activity is to establish and run Vet 2 Vet Educational Support Groups for Veterans in Recovery from Post Trauma Stress Disorder, Mental Health Challenges, Brain Injuries or any Disorder of the Brain, and Addictions including Alcoholism.

Who better can help one Veteran in their Recovery than a Veteran Brother or Sister who is making progress in their own Recovery? Our Philosophy is" Each One Teach One"

Vet 2 Vet was created by Veteran Moe Amstrong and other Veterans who sought the company of fellow Veterans to aid our Recovery. Vet 2 Vet is active in many States and is now to begin offering Peer Led Vet 2 Vet Support Groups in Ohio. Please Google "Vet 2 Vet" to visit some of the Vet 2 Vet web sites around the Country. Vet 2 Vet Ohio will soon establish its' web site.

If you are a Veteran or someone who loves or supports a Veteran we ask your support. Join us in uniting Veterans in Vet 2 Vet Ohio Veteran Support Groups. Please support us in any way you can. We can use your skills and time, we can use your financial support.

We are now looking for Volunteer Grant Proposal Writers to help raise the funds necessary to train Vet 2 Vet Facilitators to run Support Groups at the 5 Ohio VA Hospitals, The Columbus, Ohio Ambulatory Care Center, and the 28 CBOCs, Community Based Outpatient Clinics..
