Mission Statement

ASSE’s mission is to foster international understanding through educational and cross cultural programs.

Description

ASSE International Student Exchange Programs seek to place international students between the ages of 16 - 18 in family homes in the USA. Offices overseas screen students so that the family, high school and the student will benefit from close and long lasting friendships with students from all over the world.

ASSE also provides an opportunity for US students to live with families abroad for a year, three months, or for a summer. During this time, the student and their host family become a part of a world community which breaks down the barriers of the unfamiliar and foreign, by getting to know each other, and by learning each other's ways. Thus they contribute in a small way to a greater international understanding.
