Bringing volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners in the Roanoke Valley.
Description
Renovation Alliance is a non-profit dedicated to rebuilding the homes and lives of low-income homeowners through volunteer and community engagement. With the help of over 1,400 volunteers, we are able to provide free, critical and necessary home repair services to more than 100 homeowners in need each year. We focus on services on individual who are over the age of 60, living with a disability, veterans and surviving spouses, and families caring for young children. Since opening our doors in 1998, Renovation Alliance has completed significant repairs to over 850 homes in the Roanoke Valley (cities of Roanoke and Salem and the counties of Roanoke, Botetourt, Craig, Floyd, and Franklin). All efforts are aimed at rebuilding a warm, safe, dry, accessible, energy efficient, and healthy home while maintaining affordable homeownership and revitalizing communities.
