Mission Statement

RUGMARK is a nonprofit organization working to end illegal child labor in the carpet industry and offer educational opportunities to children in India, Nepal, and Pakistan. And the RUGMARK label is your best assurance that no illegal child labor was used in the manufacture of a carpet or rug.

Description

RUGMARK's work focuses on two things. One, putting former carpet weaving children into school in Nepal, India and Pakistan. In addition to this, RUGMARK's monitoring of carpet factories and socially reponsible labeling program that "marks" each child labor free rug made under decent working conditions offers US & Canadian consumers a responsible choice when buying a hand knotted rug.
