Mission Statement

The B'nai B'rith Youth Organization is the world's oldest and largest Jewish Youth Organization. It is an International body with chapters throughout the United States, Canada, Israel, Europe, South America, and Australia. There are over 35,000 members of BBYO worldwide!

Description

BBYO is not only the oldest and largest Jewish Youth Organization; it is also led by the youth themselves. Through membership in democratically functioning chapters, and by becoming active in all levels of the organization, BBYO members learn by doing. With guidance, advice, and the support of professional staff, BBYO members take an active role in the planning and the implementation of their activities. BBYO is divided into two components- AZA, or the Aleph Zadik Aleph, for the boys- and BBG, or the B'nai B'rith Girls. All programs for BBYO members fall into the socisl, athletic, eduacational, community service, cultural, and judaic realms. BBYO strives to help its members: 1. Form strong, lasting friendships with other Jewish youth. 2. Enhance leadership skills 3. Further personal growth 4. Strengthen Jewish Identity 5. Foster a positive sense of community responsibility 6. Increase understanduing and regard for the democratic process.
