Mission Statement

The WINGS Mentoring Program is committed to providing young girls in Wake County with the support, guidance, and encouragement they need to reach their highest potential and develop into successful young women. Volunteer mentors work one-on-one with participants, exploring educational, cultural, and recreational activities. The goal is for each match to develop a relationship that will provide each girl with new opportunities, skills, and confidence.

Description

WINGS (Women Involved in Nurturing Girls) is a community-based mentoring program for girls between the ages of 9 and 15. Volunteer mentors work one-on-one with participants, exploring educational, cultural, and recreational activities. The goal is for each match to develop a relationship that will provide each girl with new opportunities, skills, and confidence.
