Mission Statement

"I Have A Dream" - East Palo Alto is a long-term educational support program that motivates and empowers youth from low-income communities to reach their academic, career and personal goals.

Description

In September 2001, "I Have A Dream" - East Palo Alto adopted the entire 1st grade at Costano Elementary School. "I Have A Dream" provides this cohort, called "Dreamers", with tutoring, mentoring, after-school and summer programs, fieldtrip and enrichment activities and many other types of support. When our Dreamers graduate from high school, "I Have A Dream" will provide monetary assistance to help mitigate the financial barriers to higher education.
