Mission Statement

The Harrisburg Area Riverboat Society, Inc., is the 501-C-3 non-profit organization that operates the Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat in Harrisburg, PA as a community service project for the people of and visitors to the Harrisburg Area.

This iconic figure in Harrisburg's landscape was built and runs completely with community support. The Riverboat Society is headed by a voluntary Board of community leaders. The purpose of our organization includes increased tourism, economic development and enhanced education regarding the history and ecology of the Susquehanna River and our region.

Description

Since her construction and launch under the leadership of local businessman Mike Trephan, The Pride has carried more than a half-million passengers. She's been used for business meetings, private parties, weddings, classic dinner cruises and the ever-popular Murder Mystery Dinner Cruises. More recently The Pride, as the Susquehanna River School, has been used as a floating classroom.
