Appetite For Change is a community-based organization in North Minneapolis using food as a vehicle for social change by bringing families and the commnuity together around growing cooking and eating fresh foods.

Appette For Change brings families together around food to grow, cook and eat together. We are building social connections, organizing the community and educating!

Volunteering for Urban Baby was a blast. It was wonderful to see women with young children become more educated on feeding their children healthy foods, and what was even more great was they were given tips on how to obtain local and sustainable foods. I learned quite a bit at the workshop about nutrition, and I took away a couple yummy recipes that I've already enjoyed with my own family. The director of Urban Baby is well organized, professional, and seems very passionate about making sure these at risk women and families get the nutrition education they need to feed their families healthy meals. I'm looking forward to volunteering for Urban Baby again soon!
