This opportunity involves working with our Activities Specialists to help older adults engage in a variety of group activities. Wednesdays afternoons volunteers assist with parties or outings, Thursday afternoons BINGO and Fridays afternoons our Social Hour.

Volunteers will go out on the Foss Bus with Assisted Living Residents to go on Scenic Drives, Wednesday morning shopping trips, picnics and Site Trips once a month. Volunteers will receive training for this work which may include reminding and helping residents to the bus, get out of bus, accompany them on the trips, interact with the residents and staff. Going out on the Bus opens up the community to the Residents, lifts spirits, and provides natural way for volunteers to make friends with the residents and staff.

Serve as a cashier in our unique boutique while socializing with our Senior Residents. Our Gift Shop is primarily an activity for the folks of Foss Home and Village, as well as a place for them, staff, family, and friends to purchase novel items.
