The original program of Cars And Coffee was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 2001 at a local Caribou Coffee house in Roswell, Georgia. That casual morning gathering brought together two of the daily essentials in our lives on a Saturday morning: both coffee and cars. Let this year, 2011, be the year we all add a third ingredient to Cars And Coffee: compassion, together all across the country.

The event founder and creator Ron Rizzi, a transplanted New Yorker and now longtime Atlanta resident, had previous experience organizing many automobile and motorcycle events for the benefit of charity organizations in New York in the Hudson Valley.

Ron is responsible for the Cars And Coffee movement and he believes that Cars And Coffee has a higher purpose to help others less fortunate and to save and enhance the lives of those that have experienced dire medical situations. Ron's mission is to have Cars And Coffee make a difference and benefit all of us.
