Mission Statement

The Greater Chicago Jewish Folk Arts Festival is produced every other year by a group of dedicated volunteers, who represent the full spectrum of Jewish diversity in the Chicago area. This one day outdoor showcase brings together the best of the Jewish community's professional and amateur performing and visual artists. The Festival's goals are: to reach out to the general community to show the breadth and depth of the Jewish community, encourage tolerance by bringing together the entire Jewish community to celebrate our culture, identity and diversity, provide families with a safe family oriented environment to explore Jewish arts and culture.

Description

One day festival featuring Jewish musicians, performers, art, foods, books, organizations and family activities. Headlining the 2002 Festival are Peter Yarrow (or Peter, Paul and Mary) and Pharoah's Daughter (from New York)
