Mission Statement
Our mentor volunteers provide a positive caring role model for a youth in need of positive encouragement and guidance by spending time with them. Although mentors can fill any number of roles, all mentors have the same goal in common, to help young people achieve their potential and discover their strengths.

Description
The Reach 4 Greatness Mentoring program matches young people with qualified, caring and trained adults. This is accomplished in individual and group settings. The key to successful mentoring is consistency in these positive relationships. Therefore,the program expectations are a minimum of one year commitment at least one hour per week for all mentors and mentees. As a testimony of the positive impact of mentoring, many of our relationship matches have exceeded their annual commitments and continue their friendships.

I was a mentor for a few months and loved it!(The only reason I left was because I found an amazing job offer up North.) They were very accommodating and understanding. The program coordinator, Leon Conley, was very hands on with the kids. Unlike many volunteer places, They provided flexible volunteer times as long as you commit to their required number of hours. Actually more than anything, they helped me become a better person! Definitely something I would recommend to people who enjoy mentoring and helping the community.
