Mission Statement

The Mission of Arts Ballet Theatre is to bring to the public and the immediate community the opportunity to view professional dance productions. Arts Ballet Theatre provides accessibility, community involvement, education, and training for professional and pre-professional dancers. It also provides programs that augment understanding and appreciation of classical ballet, creates entertaining work that has broad appeal and will attract new audiences and renewed interest in ballet.

Description

Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida was founded in 1997, under the direction of Ballet Master and choreographer Vladimir Issaev.
The company made its debut with The Nutcracker in December 1997. Currently, there are 20 company members; all professional dancers of different races and backgrounds. The style of the company is based on the Vaganova technique of Russia. The repertoire includes works by such Classical Ballet Masters, and works by Artistic Director Vladimir Issaev and by contemporary guest choreographers. The company performs a yearly full season in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, as well as nationally and internationally.
Since its inception the company as well as international renowned Artistic Director, Maestro Vladimir Issaev, has been invited to perform at International Dance Festivals and Dance Galas.

The Company also believes in community outreach.
Educational programs are held in ABTF dance facility such as Dancing with Disabilities, which promotes dance instruction and performance opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Arts Ballet Goes to School, which includes performances at public schools, benefiting more than 6400 students every year, giving a free and new approach to ballet to children of low income.

The company supports charity organizations such as US Veterans w/ free tickets to its performances.
Each summer for the past nineteen seasons, ABTF has hosted the Summer Intensive Program benefiting more than 3200 students. Forty percent of these students are under scholarship.
