Mission Statement

The Mission of Arts Ballet Theatre is to bring to the public and the immediate community the opportunity to view professional dance productions. Arts Ballet Theatre provides accessibility, community involvement, education, and training for professional and pre-professional dancers. It also provides programs that augment understanding and appreciation of classical ballet, creates entertaining work that has broad appeal and will attract new audiences and renewed interest in ballet.


Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida is a young and vibrating ballet company founded in 1997, under the direction of Russian-born Ballet Master and Choreographer Mo. Vladimir Issaev

The company repertoire includes works by such Classical Ballet Masters as Petipa, Bournonville and Fokine. The Company’s performance repertoire also includes original choreographic works by its director, Vladimir Issaev.

Focusing on becoming a force in the ballet community of South Florida. The Company performs at important venues such as the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, the Gusman Theater, the Julius Littman North Miami Beach Performing Arts Theatre, The Parker Playhouse and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

The 2010-2011 season opened in October, with the classic Russian tale of Petrouchka, along with Artistic Director, Vladimir Issaev’s The Four Seasons, and Danzon, a new work by renowned guest choreographer Yanis Pikieris.

The company journeyed to the Land of the Sweets, as they performed the seasonal audience favorite, The Nutcracker throughout the month of December.

In 2011 Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida will bring back a fun ballet to the Family Series: Dr. Ouch!, a colorful tale of an animal doctor who travels to Africa to cure the ill monkeys. The production will be held at the Amaturo Theater and the North Miami Beach Theatre during the month of March.

For the close of the season, Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida is hosting the VI International Ballet Concert, bringing dancers from all over the world to Miami in order to celebrate the art of dance. This is the second time Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida will be the host of such festival, and South Floridian audiences will have the wonderful opportunity to see new and international dancers perform along with the members of the company.

In addition to these main productions, Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida will perform at other venues in Boca Raton and Hialeah. The troupe will also be appearing in various schools in both Broward and Miami-Dade counties, as they continue to educate young children about ballet in their education out-reach program.
