The Children’s Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County is the leading resource to empower and heal abused children and prevent violence against children. We serve 38 communities in the Cook County area and see over 1,000 children and their families each year.
Welcome to the Children’s Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County. Before the existence of such centers, victims of abuse often had to relive their story through repeated interviews with caregivers, DCFS investigators, State’s Attorneys, local law enforcement officers and others. Today, in addition to compassionate support services, CAC of North and Northwest Cook County provides a place for children to tell their abuse story ONE TIME to a team of people dedicated to helping them heal.
The goal of the Children's Advocacy Center of North & Northwest Cook County is to provide a multidisciplinary approach to severe physical and child sexual abuse cases. The Center recognizes the special, unique needs of child victims, while demanding accountability for the crime of child sexual abuse and severe physical abuse.
A 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization, CAC is a fully accredited member of the National Children’s Alliance. CAC provides all services free of charge in both English and Spanish.
