Mission Statement
The mission of the Denton County Autism Society includes: Promotion and advocacy for the general welfare of persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders including Asperger's Syndrome. Assisting parents in solving problems that arise in caring for children with Autism/Asperger's Syndrome. Fostering ongoing education of parents and professionals to assist in teaching and caring for individuals with Autism/Asperger's Syndrome. Community outreach to develop a better understanding of the problems faced by individuals with Autism/Asperger's Syndrome. Serving as a clearinghouse of information regarding Autism/Asperger's Syndrome. Promotion of the education and training of persons with Autism/Asperger's Syndrome
Description
The Denton County Autism Society (DCAS) is a non-profit advocacy organization for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. As a local chapter of the Autism Society of America, DCAS reaches out to families, practitioners and educators in the Denton County area including Lewisville, Flower Mound, Denton, The Colony, Frisco and other local communities.
