Southside Preservation

Description

Southside Presrvation is located in the lagest historic district int he Southwest known as Fairmount. The organization owns the building of the former Central Methodist Church built in 1900. The group has been restoring the building for over 20 years and now is a community events center for weddings and other party type events. Their signature event every first Friday i Big Band dance. Buddies Big band, a 25 pc live band performs each month playing music rom the30's and 40's. Event is open to the public and proceeds support the restoration of the building.

The SPA also works with community service volunters from local law enforcement.
