Beth El Jacob Synagogue is one of Des Moines oldest religious congregations, with a long history of providing education and opportunity for observance of Orthodox Judaism.

Judaism, with its powerful commitment to Tikkun Olam (repair of the world) leads the congregation at BEJ to participate in a number of activities of public benefit.

The curiousity that non-Jews have about Judaism leads us to host at least 30 tour groups per year, and we field hundreds of emailed or phoned in inquiries as well.
