KACS is the largest, most comprehensive social service provider in Chicagoland dedicated to meeting the needs of Korean Americans, Latinos and other immigrants.
KACS was founded in 1972 by concerned Korean Americans who came together to address the acute needs of newly arriving Korean immigrants in Chicago. Since then, KACS has grown to become the largest social service organization dedicated to meeting the needs of Korean Americans in the Midwest. As an anchor organization in northwest Chicago, KACS's doors are open to all immigrants and community members, providing services in Korean, Spanish, and English. Each year, KACS serves over 11,000 clients with free services that include *early childhood care, public benefits enrollment, domestic violence support, family and mental health counseling, skill-building groups for kids and parents, a pro bono legal clinic, senior housing management, healthcare navigation, ESL/*computer/*civics classes, disease education and outreach, and *citizenship services. *minimal fee
