Mission Statement

The Junior League of Pasadena, Inc. (JLP) is a non-profit organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The JLP reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.

Description

In her remarks upon installation as the new President of the JLP, Dana Jones of Pasadena was quoted as saying, "We believe in developing the potential of women. We want to improve communities and know that it can be done most effectively through the action and leadership of trained volunteers. And we know that we need help in our efforts, so we seek to promote voluntarism in every way that we can."

The Junior League of Pasadena promises to continue its strong commitment to Girls Rock! The signature project of the organization, Girls Rock! offers innovative and unique developmental learning experiences for girls in grades 6 through 8 and their parents or guardians, with the hope that these experiences will positively impact their lives and strengthen their personal foundation for the future.
