Mission Statement
The Baldwin County Humane Society was formed in 1979 as the county's first animal advocacy group. In 1979, there were no shelters in the county and no voices to speak for the animals. Today we are very lucky to have multiple animal rescue groups all working toward the same goal of eliminating the number of abused and abandoned pets through spay/neuter, education, rescue and adoption. We rescue, rehabiliate, and re-home hundreds of abused, abandoned and neglected pets annually. We do not have a shelter of our own; rather we are an adoption agency. We are a 501(c)3 not for profit.
Description
BCHS is the only agency providing a low cost spay/neuter program for ALL of Baldwin County. Discount vouchers are available to Baldwin County residents who rescue or adopt a homeless animal.
