We are dedicated to relieving hunger and preventing nutritious food waste.
Description
We are dedicated to relieving hunger in metro Detroit and preventing nutritious food waste. Provide food for emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless and domestic shelters, children’s homes, senior centers and group homes.
Forgotten Harvest collects surplus, prepared and perishable food from a variety of sources such as grocery stores, restaurants, caterers, dairies, farmers, wholesale food distributors, and other Health Department-approved sources.

Great organization - not only fights hunger, but also fights waste of food that would otherwise be thrown out. It's fun & eye-opening to ride on the truck & see how much food can be rescued, and how grateful the agencies & people are that we deliver it to.
