Mission Statement
Celtic Heritage Alliance, Inc. continues its mission as a non-profit organization to promote and preserve Celtic culture and heritage through creation and development of Celtic cultural events, activities, and programs which facilitate education, workshops, musical performances
and traditional competitions which include athletics, music and dance.
In June 2011, organizers of this groups helpt to bring the Newport Celtic Festival & Highland Games to Newport, Oregon and an estimated 4,000 attended this event which celebrated the seven Celtic Nations of Brittany, Cornwall, Galicia, Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland and Wales.
It was brought to life through the dedication of local volunteers whose common bond is a desire to share their Celtic culture. The goal is to produce a major annual festival for the entire community that will raise awareness through music, dance, athletics and vendors who sell authentic food, drink, arts, crafts, family histories and other items deeply rooted in this rich heritage.
Description
We have an immediate need for volunteers to head up the 2012 Newport Celtic Festival & Highland Games and other Celtic events that will take place leading up to this event.
The organizers are committed to presenting an accurate depiction of the culture, heritage, music, crafts and other activities that are fun for the entire family. The goal is to honor Celtic heritage while educating the general public.
The organizing team is seeking volunteers to help create, staff, and run events. Persons interested in joining the volunteer team are urged to send an e-mail to info@newportcelticfestival.com and you will be contacted by a Volunteer Coordinator.
