Mission Statement

The Montgomery Area Food Bank serves the needy across Alabama through member agencies by soliciting, procuring and distributing excess food, grocery and household products.

We are a private, non-profit organization that, since 1986, has been providing emergency food assistance to our neighbors in need. As a warehouse distributor of surplus, donated food, as well as USDA product and some purchased products, we distribute food to needy clients through our partner agencies, who work with us to eliminate hunger and its harmful effects via special programs. We currently serve 35 counties across Alabama.

I have been searching for community service oppurtunities and I am intruged by the oppurtunity presented to come volunteer for you. I would like to get more involved in the community and I beleive this is a great place to start.
