Neighborhood Mathematica--Full Circle Mentoring Agency, Inc

Neighborhood Mathematica is a local math compeititon and the first of its kind in Atlanta, Ga. Volunteer math coaches will be deployed to the different Centers of Hope recreation centers where students in gade 2-8 will be coached and drilled in math concepts in preparation of the competition in May. Coaching begins in the second week of March and will end in the second week of May. There will be a week-long competition between the different recreation centers and a finals event that is a highly anticipated community celebration with the attendance of the civic, business, and education communities. Volunteer transportation via Marta is covered by a DoSomething.org grant. Neighborhood Mathematica also has the sponsorship and support of various Atlanta businesses.
