Description

My name is Jenny Patterson, I represent VOLUNTEER COSTA RICA and I am inviting you to participate in my Volunteer and Tour Packages across this beautiful Playas del Coco, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

We are a business group within six years of operation giving wonderful services to our visitors whilst building a stellar reputation in the local tourist industry.

We are located in Playas del Coco and Potrero Beach, Guanacaste, 20 minutes from the International Airport Daniel Oduber - Liberia and surrounded by beautiful mountains and beaches.


ABOUT COSTA RICA

The "Ticos" love there homeland and for good reason, the peaceful life, wonderful and beautiful landscape, incredible sports in the Caribbean, surfing or watching sea turtles on the Pacific, pleny of mystic volcanoes and jungles in between. Costa Rica is impressive scenic beauti, consolidated system of protected areas, social stability, high educational levels, and efficient infrastucture a gread country. It is located in Central America between Panama and Nicaragua. The country covers less than 0.03% of the earth's surface yet contains 5% of the planet's animal and plant species. Over 9000 plant species (including 1200 varieties of orchids), 2000 types of butterflies and 876 bird species are present in Costa Rica.
This small country with just 19,575 square miles (50,700 square kilometers), is big for they're people, population 3,014,000. Costa Ricans are usually referred to as "ticos" by themselves and persons of other Spanish-speaking countries, instead of using the more-formal costarricenses. Land of peace, Costa Rica is the oldest democrazy in Latin America with more than 100 years of political stability.

ABOUT PLAYAS DEL COCO

Playas del Coco is a little place about 35 miles Southwest of the city of Liberia on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica in the province of Guanacaste and 4 hours from San Jose city. Daniel Oduber International Airport is only a short 25 minute drive away, so you won't be wasting any valuable holiday time driving to and from the airport. It is served by American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, United & US Airways. Three Canadian airlines that fly into the airport are Sunwing, Sky Service & Air Canada. Anything you could possibly want to do is right at you fingertips, be it Deep Sea fishing, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Surfing (Tamarindo, Witch's Rock or Ollie's Point), Whitewater Rafting, Horseback Riding, Bird Watching, Canopy Tours, National Parks (Santa Rosa, Buena Vista, Bara Honda, Tenorio), Volcanos (Arenal, Rincon de la Vieja, Tenorio), or just plain chillin' out if that's what you're looking!

VOLUNTEERIMS:

If you are a person who likes volunteerism, we have the options and alternatives for you to make it real, in community development projects in rural areas or assist in Child Care Centers, teaching English, in the conservation our nature.

All of the projects are surrounded by warm people willing to share with the volunteers.

The volunteers will have time to enjoy our country and learn about our culture.

Each of our programs offers participants the opportunity to experience the culture and spirit of Costa Rica by living and working with the local people and personally contributing to the much-needed community development efforts.

Must be 16+ years old

Basic Knowledge of spanish, (We offer and intensive spanish course, to be taken previous or during to project)
