Mission Statement

The mission of thTHE BREAD PROJECT is to help low-income Bay Area residents to improve their lives by training them to become bakers and to help them find jobs in the baking industry.

Description

THE BREAD PROJECT is run entirely by volunteers and its volunteer Board of Directors. The organization contracts with the world renowned San Francisco Baking Institute in South San Francisco to conduct the trainings. Baker training classes are held quarterly and are taught Mondays through Thursdays from 9 AM to 5 PM.
