Because appreciation of the present is enhanced by understanding the past, The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm interprets, preserves and collects the history of the greater Rochester area for present and future generations.
Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm is a local, historical museum located on 16 acres along Stoney Creek. The Museum includes the 1840 Van Hoosen Farmhouse, a 1927 adaptively-reused Dairy Barn, the 1850 Red House, and our 1848 one-room schoolhouse. The Rochester Hills Museum is the site of education programs, special events, and weddings. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
