To be a source of emotional care, comfort and advocacy for all mothers and their families during pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood.
The Doula Foundation of Mid-America, founded in 2001, strives to meet the physical, emotional, and educational needs of at-risk pregnant or low-income women and teens before, during, and after the birthing process , by providing:
- Educational opportunities including prenatal yoga, health and wellness classes, prepared childbirth classes, lactation services
- Connections to other resources in the community that will strengthen families in the longterm
- A certified doula to support the woman during her pregnancy, birth, and in the post partum.
- Parent/child programs like our Toddler Yoga or Early Literacy Programs that help foster relationships with other parents and helps strengthen the bond bewteen the parent and the child.
