Mission Statement

Saint Elizabeth is a co-educational Catholic Diocesan High School founded in the spirit of St. Francis and St. Dominic, serving a diverse student population from Oakland and the surrounding communities. We are committed to fostering self-esteem and preparing students for college, challenging them to live and proclaim the Gospel message, achieve academic success, and secure the skills necessary for life.

Description

St. Elizabeth is a small high school located in the Fruitvale area. S.E.H. stands out from other local schools because it offers a quality Catholic secondary education to students with varied academic performance levels and from diverse socio-economic and religious backgrounds.

Saint Elizabeth recruits from the local area; the school reflects the neighborhood: 34% African American, 55% Hispanic, 5% Asian/Pacific Islander, 1% Native American, 5% multiracial, and 0% Caucasian. 75% of our students are eligible for the free or reduced-lunch program.
