Mission Statement

Chattanooga Public Market has the educational and charitable purposes to provide healthy, fresh produce, and sustainable agricultural and horticultural products, as well as locally-produced arts and craft wares, to residents of Hamilton County and surrounding areas, encourage commerce, entertainment and trade in our community.

Description

The Chattanooga Market is the region's largest authentic outdoor market - just ask the locals! Celebrating our 10 year anniversary in 2011, we hold high standards when it comes to our "Local is Better" slogan. Our producer-only market represents approximately 5,000 acres of regional farms and dozens of local food manufacturers. Fresh on Sundays folks find an abundance of fresh fruits, herbs, flowers and garden-ripened vegetables; gourmet beef, chicken, sausage and pork, lamb, and goat; cheeses, artisan breads, honey, fresh-roasted coffee, small-batch jellies, salsas, candies, fudge, cakes and more. Every Sunday at Chattanooga Market has a unique theme, often highlighting a charity or local tie-in. Examples of these are Mayfield in Pink, Live United, CultureFest and many more. It's our constant mission to give back to our community and provide a platform for our non-profit partners to increase awareness. In 2010, Chattanooga Market contributed in raising over $200,000 for these local non-profits.
