Mission Statement

The "I Have a Dream" Foundation motivates and empowers children from low-income areas to reach their education and career goals by providing a long-term program of mentoring, tutoring and enrichment and tuition assistance for higher education. "The I Have a Dream Foundation is committed to ensuring that our Dreamers have the opportunity to pursue higher education and to fully capitalize on their talents, aspirations, and leadership. We assist them in receiving the education needed to have fulfilling careers and become proud and productive citizens.

Description

Our approach is unique in that we sponsor an entire grade level of students at a Miami Dade Public school in a distressed neighborhood and work with these Dreamers from early elementary school all the way through high school. Upon high school graduation, each dreamer receives a guaranteed tuition of up to $3,000 per year for four years at a Florida State University or accredited vocational school.
