As a foster based rescue, Angels Among Us does not currently have a physical facility. Our rescued dogs and cats stay in foster homes until they get adopted. Our administrative volunteers and most of our creative volunteers work from home. As long as you have a smartphone/tablet/computer and Internet access, you can be an administrative or creative volunteer from anywhere in the country! Please note the volunteer application is separate from our foster application. Fostering : If you live in the greater Atlanta area, please consider becoming a lifesaving foster Angel. We must have a foster in place to save a dog or a cat. We are in DESPERATE need of fosters who can foster large dogs, fosters who have no other pets, fosters who can handle medical needs dogs and fosters for pregnant dogs and puppies. In addition, our cat program needs fosters for kittens, cats, and feline medical cases. We always need fosters for older cats. In all cases, we need fosters who can commit to fostering until the dog or cat is adopted. Transporter for Dogs or Cats

Transporters for Dogs and Cats Team Description: Transport dogs (occasional cats) from Shelters to Veterinary offices. Occasional requests from foster to foster or from vet office or other transport needs such as media appearances. Many requests are during weekdays and are for long distance drives to rural shelters. Position Title: Transporter Position Description: Transport dogs or cats mainly from Shelters to Veterinary offices. Occasional transports from foster to foster, foster to vet, etc. Qualifications: Car and current driver’s license. Must be able to print forms and scan and email or fax to transport team. Must be able to take pictures of transported animals with phone. Experience handling dogs. Must be 21 or older. NOTE: Must take Maddie’s Fund Online Course for Certification Prior to Transporting. Volunteer Coordinator will supply details. Availability: Flexible. Volunteers only respond to the requests they can do. Many requests are during weekdays and are for long distance drives to rural shelters. Transporters are encouraged to do as many transports as they are comfortable doing. You can foster and/or be on other teams and also sign up to transport.

Temperament Test Coordinator

Flexible Schedule | Alpharetta, GA 30009

Temperament Test Coordinator - Partners with the Intake Coordinators to schedule and ensure completion of temperament (temp) tests for potential new intakes. Monitors Pre-Intakes page for incoming dogs - owner surrenders and shelter pulls. Ensures every dog coming in has a temperament test on file and all information is recorded. Must be computer savvy, detail oriented and reliable. Emails need to be monitored throughout the day, could be one person or be a couple with designated days. About 30 minutes work per temp test, potentially up to 2 hours a day.

Foster Home Recheck Coordinator

Foster Home Recheck Team Coordinator - Coordinates 6 month foster home rechecks for fosters and keeps our rescue in compliance with the Department of Agriculture. Handles day to day administrative functions to include sending reminders, tracking and completing documentation. Must be computer savvy, detail oriented, organized and dependable. Must be familiar with spreadsheets and Google docs. Expect 1-3 hours on assigned day. Check emails and respond same day.

Videographer

Flexible Schedule | Alpharetta, GA 30009

We need a local (Metro Atlanta, GA) videographer for a one time project. Preferably has a 180 video camera that captures video with right and left lenses but a dual camera setup may also work. This would involve basically going with us to an animal control facility to get video that will be used in creating a virtual reality experience. Timing is flexible.

We operate through a network of volunteers and foster homes in the metro Atlanta area. Our efforts are funded by tax-deductible contributions from compassionate people and organizations who care and want to help make a difference... one pet at a time.

The passion to rescue dogs from death row, and the group of people who all have family too but so deeply commit and are friendly , it was a great and warm experience
