The Upstate NENY Chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America is responsible for 19 counties in the Upstate NY region.

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is the leading nonprofit organization aimed at improving the life of and finding a cure for the 1.4 million American adults and children living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, chronic and often debilitating digestive diseases. The Foundation maintains a presence across the United States, with chapters in every state offering support groups, educational programs, and fundraising events. On a national level, the Foundation hosts a variety of educational programs throughout the year for patients and professionals, including educational teleconferences/webcasts and its annual Advances in IBD professional conference. Its Information Resource Center, staffed by master's level healthcare professionals, provides information and support to the Crohn's and colitis community. Two national signature fundraising events, Take Steps and Team Challenge, a walk and endurance training program, respectively, are critical in helping the Foundation bring in millions of dollars each year to support its mission to identify better therapies and ultimately a cure.
