Mission Statement

The mission of AVON'S Breast Cancer Awareness Crusade is to provide more women- particularly low-income, minority and older women- with direct access to breast cancer educational and early detection services at little or no cost. Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day is a three-day, sixty-mile walk raising much needed funds for this cause.

Description

AVON Breast Cancer 3Day is a revolutionary approach in the fight against breast cancer. It is a 3 day, 60 mile walk from Boca Raton to Miami. This is the first year for the Florida 3Day, but in 2000, the Washington DC event had over 3000 walkers and raised $6.4 million for the cause.There were 500 crewmembers to support them during the walk. There were incredible Opening and Closing ceremonies with 1000 Volunteers assisting in the preparation and implementation. We celebrated the achievement while raising awareness and millions of dollars for breast cancer programs around the country. The programs are all based on early detection and education. There are a total of 13 3-Days nationwide, increasing the message, raising more money, and moving more individuals beyond their limits.
