The American Cancer Society is the nationwide voluntary health agency dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives from cancer and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy and service.

Description

The American Cancer Society conducts fundraising events to support the fight against cancer through research, education, advocacy and service. The ACS also conducts educational programs in businesses, churches. schools and community organizations to make people aware of the simple steps they can take to prevent cancer and detect it early.
