The Friends of the Library are just that... friends of the library. We support the Foothill Ranch library with respect to projects that are not budgeted or funded by the Orange County Public Library system.
We support the library in the following ways:
Since the library opened in February 2003, the Friends have been able to provide the Library with funds for a variety of physical goods such as a ladder for the children's room and audiotape replacements. The funds were used to support programs and activities such as the successful summer reading program, teen poetry contest, craft projects, and special programs for children and teens throughout the year. The library is expected to need funds for all these same programs in the coming years, but also is expected to fund for the purchase of current print and audio books not provided by the County, to bring in guest authors and others to speak to residents and also to purchase and frame posters for the Library.
