Description

Tahoe CAN is a nonprofit membership organization that helps meet the needs of our
community by building capacity of local nonprofits and community leaders and encouraging
organizations to achieve their goals through collaboration. To do that, we focus on networking,
training, and resources:
• NETWORKING: Tahoe CAN members meet monthly on the second Wednesday of each
month to learn new topics, exchange ideas, and build collaborations. Our meetings are
held at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Nonprofit Center and are open to the public.
We encourage nonprofit members, business leaders, and interested members of the
community to join us.
• TRAINING: Tahoe CAN offers a series of workshops and trainings each year designed to
enhance the working knowledge and expertise of nonprofit staff, volunteers, board
members and the public. Our workshops are held in collaboration with the Community
Collaborative of Truckee Tahoe (CCTT) and are open to everyone.
• RESOURCES: The Smallwood Collaboration Resource Center is located at the Donald W.
Reynolds Community Nonprofit Center and is open to everyone 25 hours each week. It
includes free access to the foundation grants database, Foundation Directory Online, as
well as a library of nonprofit books and related information.
