Mission Statement

The Latina Center strives to improve the health status of low-income women throughout California by providing skills-based trainings, connecting emerging leaders to other people and organizations, expanding their access to and use of resources.

Description

The goal of the Latina Center is to impact Latino community health by supporting and expanding the leadership of monolingual and bilingual Latinas. This will be accomplished by providing skills-based trainings to improve leadership, skills, capacities and self-esteem of the women; connecting the emerging women leaders to other people and organizations locally and in the Bay Area; and expanding local access to and use of resources and services by the women and members of their families and community.
