Mission Statement

Our mission is to offer the neediest elderly of every race and religion a home where they will be welcomed as Christ, cared for as family and accompanied with dignity until God calls them to himself. Together with a diverse network of collaborators, we serve the elderly poor in over 30 countries around the world.

Description

We are a nursing home and independent living facility. Little Sisters of the Poor has been serving the Chicago area for over 140 years.

When I was much younger, I worked as a custodian for the Little Sisters in Cleveland, Ohio. Although an atheist at the time, I came to admire the kindness, dedication and faith of the Sisters whom I worked with daily. The fact that they work with the poorest of the poor is an important motivator, especially now, with the growing poverty in our country.

Because i enjoy helping others as well as my self and i think it's good experience & it also keeps you very busy
